de Pinedo (misspelled in telegram)                                                                                                                                                                                        Hawks

The above telegram from Frank Hawks to George DeBeeson  regarding a robot to be installed on Francisco de Pinedo's plane. (spelled wrong in telegram)  It was installed for his New York to Baghdad flight, but unfortunately de Pinedo's plane crashed on take-off from FBF (Floyd Bennett Field) due to being overloaded with fuel on Sept 2, 1933.

George did some artwork for covers of Creative World Magazine and the above attests to the expectations from the invention.

There were several attempts and offers of financing, but none came to fruition.

Patents were obtained, but unfortunately George DeBeeson never received the benefits thereof.
